FLAME RESISTANT CLOTHING |

| These garments
are made of Dupont NOMEX® brand fiber and are designed
for jobs which require protection against sudden flash fire,
impact of electric arcs or simply as a station uniform. NOMEX®
is a fiber developed by Dupont and garments made of NOMEX®
have certain benefits over other Fire Retardant materials
available in the market. These include :- |

INHERENT & PERMANENT
FLAME RESISTANCE
|
|
|
|
| The flame
resistance of NOMEX® brand fiber is an essential characteristic
that is INHERENT or built into the polymer structure of the
fiber, i.e. NOMEX® is an inherently flame resistant fiber
and does not ignite and burn in air, nor does it melt and
drip. The flame resistance of NOMEX® is permanent throughout
the life of the garment and it cannot be washed or worn out.

|
Laboratory
test results show superiority of garments made with NOMEX®
brand fiber over FRT and non-FRT garment in reducing the
burn injury of the victim in case of a flash fire. Survival
of a burn victim has direct bearing on the amount of burn
injury. Garments made of NOMEX® thus provide much better
thermal protection than those made of chemically treated
materials. |

Fabrics
made from NOMEX® brand fiber are designed to
be breathable, so increased air flow through the
fabric can rapidly move heat away from the body
and keep the wearer cool & dry. This is a very
important parameter keeping into consideration the
climatic conditions in India. |

| LIGHT-WEIGHT,
COMFORT, YET DURABLE |

| Garments made from
DuPont NOMEX® brand fiber offer Light weight,
comfortable protection. The strength of a 4.5 or 6
oz/yd2 NOMEX® fiber is much better than that of
a 10 to 12 oz/yd2 FRT Cotton or similar chemically
treated materials. |
|
|
|
Garments
made from NOMEX® brand fiber are permanently
Anti-static and prevent sparks
due to static electric charge build-up which could
lead to an explosion in presence of flammable chemicals
such as jet fuels. |
|
These
single layer garments are available in different
designs – as a One Piece Overall (Dangri)
or as a Pant-Shirt combination or Pant-Jacket /
Over-Coat design. These garments are excellent as
uniforms for workers working in hazardous areas
like those in Refineries, Oil & Gas Units, Chemical
& Petrochemical Plants, Electric Utility Workers

NOMEX® TURNOUT GEAR |
|
|
We
are an Authorized Distributor of M/s. E. I. DUPONT
INDIA LTD. for their range of garments made of NOMEX®
brand fiber. Dupont NOMEX® Fire Suits or Turnout
Gear, as it is called, is a multi layer fire fighter
suit designed for front line fire fighters and meets
the performance requirements of European Standard
EN-469. These fire suits come in a three layer construction
as under : |

An OUTER
SHELL made of NOMEX®. This more than handles
the intense heat and flame of today’s fires
and stands up well to multiple washings. The fabric
is made of a blend of NOMEX® and KEVLAR®
to provide better strength & dexterity, enhanced
comfort, increased breathability and mobility and
lower bulk & total weight, which results in
less heat stress.
The middle layer
is the MOISTURE BARRIER which is a breathable, lighter,
softer & more flexible layer which provides
the fire fighter with 2-way protection --- it helps
absorb the sweat and prevents water & steam
from outside to penetrate the suit, thus resulting
in better comfort of the fire fighter and lower
heat stress.
The innermost layer
is the THERMAL LINER which provides insulation from
radiant and convective heat, offering greater comfort
& decreased heat stress.
These suits
are very light in weight and comfortable to wear.
The suits come with accessories including Fire Fighter
Gloves, Fire Fighter Boots, an optional Hood made
of knit Nomex® and a Fire man Helmet. |

FIRE
APPROACH, PROXIMITY & ENTRY SUITS |
|
|
Fire APPROACH
or PROXIMITY suits are suits made for working or
rescue in high radiant heat areas. These suits are
made of Aluminized fabric and consist of a Jacket
with Trousers, Gloves, Boots & Hood with built-in
helmet. These suits are also available in a one
piece overall instead of a Jacket & Trouser
design. These suits have a provision on wearing
SCAB inside and so come with a pouch on the back
of the Jacket area. These suits have a multi-layer
construction and are available in different models
/ designs / fabric compositions.
Fire ENTRY suits are
designed for short duration entry into fire. However,
this duration is limited to less than a minute and
so workers / firemen have to work in tandem to accomplish
a job.

TYVEK® is a non-woven fabric, permeable to
both air & water vapor, thus allowing it to
“breathe”. It is also extremely light,

TYCHEM® F garments offer a high level of Chemical
Protection with a full range of styles & options.
From simple coveralls to Encapsulated Level “B”
protection suits, range offers protection from
basic chemical splash to full-bourne, “things-can-get-ugly-in-a-second”
situations. These garments offer increased physical
strength, durability & broad chemical holdout.

| GAS
TIGHT LEVEL "A" PROTECTION SUITS |
|
|
Dupont
TYCHEM® TK delivers the highest level of protection
against highly toxic, corrosive gases, vapors, liquids
& solid chemicals making it ideal for industrial,
HazMat & domestic preparedness applications.
TYCHEM® TK has documented barrier against more
than 280 chemicals, more than 260 of these with
no observed permeation after eight hours of continuous
contact. TYCHEM® TK has also been tested against
some of Chemical Warfare agents. Garments made of
TYCHEM® TK are available in a variety of designs
including Coveralls, Encapsulated Level “B”
suits and the most important one – the Encapsulated
Level “A” Gas Tight suits. These Level
“A” suits are also available with Aluminized
outer-covers in NFPA 1991 certified ensembles.
Our range also includes
“GTB” & “GTVB” Type1a
/ Level “A” Gas-Tight Chemical Protective
Suit in one-piece construction fully encapsulating
both the wearer and breathing apparatus. These suits
are made of multiple layers of Viton & Butyl
laminated on polymer fabric & incorporate the
latest technology in both fabric and suit design
and are compatible with any manufacturer’s
breathing apparatus. These suits come with optional
ventilation system also. All these suits are CE
marked to the latest European standard for gas-tight
clothing, EN943-2:2002, and are extensively used

good combination of comfort for ease of movement
