Our range of process engineering
equipment includes AUTOMATIC SELF CLEANING STRAINERS which are designed
for demanding applications where the flow of the fluids cannot be
stopped to clean the filter / straining element. These strainers
incorporate patent designs where after regular intervals, the straining
element is cleaned and the debris removed. The flow of fluid is
not stopped. There are two designs viz. the ELIMINATOR® series
& the HYPERJET® series.
In the ELIMINATOR® series, the
straining element is cleaned with the help of a rotating arm with
a brush type of attachment. This is run using a geared motor. The
actuator is set such that after regular intervals, the motor starts,
the filter element is cleaned, and the debris is flushed out. The
Eliminators®, automatic, self-cleaning strainers thus provide
continuous debris removal from fluid piping systems that demand
full time uninterrupted flow.
The Hyper-Jet® is an additional
line of motorized, automatic self-cleaning strainers. It is very
effective in systems applications where operating pressure is low
or debris has difficult removal characteristics. FE 721 Series provides
an addition of external backwash fluid that enhances the self-cleaning
attribute over other automatic strainers. In other words, the same
fluid is injected from an external source and sprayed on to the
element using a set of spray nozzles (fixed on the rotating arm
of the cleaning brush). This way, even sticky impurities can be
effectively removed.
